New Perfect Dark XBLA Screens

Joanna Dark in HD

The rejected Goldeneye sequel for the N64 would later become Perfect Dark, the critically acclaimed success that kept me and my best friend up, night after night. While a remake of the classic Goldeneye 007 is now a mere pipe dream, this my friend is no fantasy.

Rare have opened the floodgates this week by releasing a batch of new screens from the XBLA remake of Perfect Dark and have set in motion tongues wagging across the world. Sadly the game won’t be available until early 2010, which is understandable by the sheer amount of work the team at Rare and 4J Studios put into these glorious HD remakes (comparison gallery below). Can you believe it’s nearly been 10 years since we first laid eyes on Miss Joanna Dark?

Final Fight: Double Impact

We’ve just got hold of the first screens from Capcom’s high definition remake of Final Fight. Part of a double-pack, including the fantasy beat ‘em up Magic Sword will hit XBLA and PSN in April. Similar to Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, you’ll be able to switch between different visual modes. So whether you like your games in a cabinet, classic, crispy or smooth. If you’re the HD snob type or just looking for a bit of nostalgia, you can all start your drooling in the gallery below.
