Last year Nintendo broke their age-old rule of one 3D Mario game per generation with the surprise announcement of Super Mario Galaxy 2. During our wander through the Indie Games Arcade at the Eurogamer last month, we had a chat with James Wright from Airplay after going hands on with their latest – Super Yum Yum: Baby Rescue.

Developers of the BAFTA-nominated Super Yum Yum series, Airplay UK are looking to create an established console brand. With a DSiware version slated for Christmas, and the chance of multiple console releases on the horizon the future is looking awfully colourful… and that much more delicious!

A Few Words on the New Mario Bros. Wii

We caught up with a Nintendo Rep at the show to get some details on Mario and the gang’s new adventure which will land on the Wii this fall. With up to four joinable players it’s guaranteed to be a family favourite in the living room this holiday season, as well as being the first side-scrolling Mario console platformer to hit since the SNES back in the early 90′s!
