Spartans Never Die George

Posted in 360, Halo: Reach by Raphael Essoo-Snowdon on Sunday 13 December 2009 8:01 am

It’s what we all waited for, this is probably all we’re gonna hear from Reach until next year so savor this trailer carefully. Maybe watch a bit each day, don’t waste it all at once… ahh what the heck, it’s Halo – indulge!

From what I can see the trailer is all filmed in-game, I’m digging that skull helmet and it looks like the Elites are back. I guess we’ll have to hold out until E3 before we see any sort of gameplay running the new engine, tis exciting.

After watching this trailer multiple times I can’t seem get this song out of my head now, I have myself to blame. Crackdown 2 teases us with destruction galore and yes, we would be happy to oblige to the question asked.

Medal of Honor Gameplay Trailer

Posted in 360, Medal of Honor, PC, PS3 by Raphael Essoo-Snowdon on Sunday 13 December 2009 7:13 am

Oh it’s War! Judging by the trailer it’s gonna be hard to tell these two games apart, with the second game being Modern Warfare 2 – obviously! Hot on the heels of MW2’s release and with Battlefield only months away, if World War II is anything to go by, this “Modern War” shooter trend is set to go the way of the dodo.

The trailer looks amazing as expected and maybe the competition will bring great results. I’m hoping EA opt for a more open world experience, Call of Duty has always seemed too linear for my liking, too driven. It’ll be interesting to see what can be done with the Medal of Honor series, fingers crossed they take it in a new direction. I’ve got a lot of trust in EA as of now; we all know they’re not the same company they once were.

True Crime is Back

Posted in 360, PC, PS3, True Crime by Raphael Essoo-Snowdon on Sunday 13 December 2009 6:37 am

When True Crime: Streets of LA hit the PlayStation 2 back in ’03 it wasn’t half-bad. The problem I had with it was that IGN, my primary gaming site at the time, had given it a 9/10. With these reviews being gospel at the tender age of 15, I remember rushing out to my local GAME before parting with my hard-earned cash. The game was good, just not 40 quid good.

Here we are, approaching 2010 rapidly and True Crime makes its return appearance at the VGAs. Check out the trailer above and make of it what you will, I’ll be keeping a close eye on this one before I shell out any more cash though.
